Hello!
Surfing has always been one of those things that I've told myself that someday I'll do. I recently taken a trip to San Diego(which was gorgeous) and taken a surf class. I've always liked the idea of surfing and the whole lifestyle so I was curious to see if I was any good. (On a side note- everyone always tells me that I look like I can surf or that I'm "Beachy", so it was kinda funny because everyone thought I could already). I love the beach and Southern California so it was just an amazing vacation all around(not to mention Vidcon, which was even better).
When I first showed up, the waves were pretty intimidating. I've boogie boarded before and practically live in the ocean, but just the idea of having a giant 9 foot board with me scared me a little. I'm a pretty balanced person, which, some people tell me is hard to believe. I put my wetsuit on and met my instructor(who was really nice) and headed into the water. She told me to shuffle my feet because they have sting rays in the water. Hmm.. Sting rays… Not a big fan. I'm not from an area with warm water so we don't really get many animals besides the occasional Seal or Otter so that scared the living crap out of me, but alas, I have to do it.
I found a small enough wave and paddled into it as I was told. I tried to push myself up(I have no upper body strength whatsoever) and I did! I stood up for about 10 seconds then hopped off because there was too much seaweed. She came up to me and told me that I was a natural, and coming from an actual surfer, was like the nobel peace prize to me. Just the fact of admiring something for so long and being told you're good is an amazing feeling. It was such an amazing experience and I'm so happy I did it.
My challenge for anyone reading this is to go out and do something that you've wanted to do. Whether it's as small as going for a short run or as big as skydiving, do it for yourself.
Thank you for reading and comment any tips and tricks for surfing because I would love the opportunity to do it again!

Someday
Most people(including myself) set goals for themselves. They'll say "One day, I'll do that" or "When I'm older or prettier, I'll wear that". As much as we'd like to think that we live in the present, it's much easier said than done. This blog is going to be all the things that someday, I will do. Because I've recently figured, it's about what you've done, not what you say you've done. It's mostly a place where I can put lifestyle posts or a place to put photography.
I don't know. We'll see.
xx
P.S. I recently went to Vidcon and had quite the experience with some British boys, so if anyone wants to hear about that just comment!
